Marquez Secures Ducati's First MotoGP Pole

Damp Conditions Set the Stage for Thrilling Qualifiers

The MotoGP took to the damp Jerez circuit for its final practice session before qualifying, with Marc Marquez of Gresini Racing MotoGP emerging as the fastest rider.

The Spaniard dominated the wet conditions, setting the pace ahead of Marco Bezzecchi of VR46 and Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati Lenovo Team. Marquez's pole-setting performance marked Ducati's first in MotoGP history.

The qualifying session featured a thrilling battle for the front row, with lap records being broken throughout. Marquez eventually secured the top spot with a time of 1:37.438, narrowly edging out Bezzecchi by just 0.029 seconds.

The final practice session and qualifying were held under slippery conditions, with several riders experiencing crashes. Despite the challenging circumstances, Marquez and Bezzecchi demonstrated incredible skill and determination.

The MotoGP will continue tomorrow at the Gran Premio Estrella Galicia 00 de EspaƱa, with the riders competing in the main event on Sunday. Marquez's pole position gives him a strong starting position for the race, setting the stage for an exciting and competitive battle for victory.
